Accounts
In order to use HPC computational resources at LSU, users must first request an account. Any LSU affiliate or a collaborator of an LSU affiliate, including graduate or undergraduate students, may request an account. Accounts and usage of the resources is offered at no financial charge.
Users are asked to acknowledge their use of LSU HPC resources in resulting publications and reports with the following statement:
Portions of this research were conducted with high performance computational resources provided by Louisiana State University (http://www.hpc.lsu.edu).
- Accounts for LSU HPC Systems (Tezpur, Pelican, Nemeaux, and Santaka) can be requested HERE (You have to put in a valid LSU email address and a link to the account request form will be sent to that email address. You click the link in your email message and you will be directed to the account request form. Please fill that form to request a account. You may input your advisor as your LSU Contact/Collaborator if you are a student, postdoctoral researcher or research associate at LSU. If you are not from LSU, you must have a faculty or research staff at LSU as your Collaborator to sponsor you a LSU HPC account).

HPC @ LSU provides consulation and administrative support for the LONI supercomputers. In order to use the LONI computational resources, a user must first request a LONI account. Any LONI affiliate or a collaborator of a LONI affiliate may request a LONI account. If you don't have a LONI account, you can request one at the LONI website.
Allocations
Once users have an account they must request an allocation to use HPC computational resources at LSU.
The HPC Resource Allocations Committee (HPCRAC) at LSU, chaired by Dr. Joel Tohline, coordinates all allocation requests.
