LONI High Performance Computing Workshop--March 2007--New Orleans
This workshop was held on March 26 & 27 in room 1110 Goldring/Woldenberg Hall at Tulane University, New Orleans. Goldring/Woldenberg Hall II Room 1110 is in Tulane University Freeman School of Business and here is the link to the campus map http://www2.tulane.edu/map/goldring_woldenberg_hall_II.cfm. The workshop was an introductory workshop covering introduction to HPC environment of IBM Power5 and Dell Linux machines at LONI, basic AIX/Linux operating system commands, introduction to Parallel Computing, introduction to MPI and advanced MPI, introduction to programming with OpenMP, introduction to CactusCode, LONI Portal, optimization and debugging of parallel code.This training was a two day workshop introducing the user to High Performance Computing. Tulane University provided lunch and refreshments for both day to all participants. Thanks Tulane University for the hospitality!
