Accounts
In order to use HPC computational resources at LSU, users must first request an account. Any LSU affiliate or a collaborator of an LSU affiliate, including graduate or undergraduate students, may request an account. Accounts and usage of the resources is offered at no financial charge.
Users are asked to acknowledge their use of LSU HPC resources in resulting publications and reports with the following statement:
Portions of this research were conducted with high performance computational resources provided by Louisiana State University (http://www.hpc.lsu.edu).
- Account Requests
- Account Management
User accounts on LSU HPC Systems (Tezpur, Pelican, Nemeaux, and Santaka) require a valid LSU email address and LSU affiliated sponsor. LSU students, postdoctoral researchers, or research associates may use their advisor as their sponsor. Non-LSU collaborators must be sponsored by a LSU faculty member or research associate. Upon making a request, a form will be emailed to you with a link to the account creation page. Once the form is submitted, and the information verified, the account will be created.

HPC @ LSU provides consulation and administrative support for the LONI supercomputers. In order to use the LONI computational resources, a user must first request a LONI account. Any LONI affiliate or a collaborator of a LONI affiliate may request a LONI account. If you don't have a LONI account, you can request one at the LONI website.
Allocations
Once users have an account they must request an allocation to use HPC computational resources at LSU.
The HPC Resource Allocations Committee (HPCRAC) at LSU, chaired by Dr. Joel Tohline, coordinates all allocation requests.

Again, HPC @ LSU provides consulation and administrative support for the LONI supercomputers. In order to use the LONI computational resources, a user with LONI account must request a LONI allocation. The LONI Large Resource Allocation Committee (LRAC), chaired by Dr. Bradd Clark at University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL), coordinates all LONI allocation requests. If you don't have a LONI allocation, you can request one at the LONI website.
