About Us

HPC @ LSU is a joint partnership between the Center for Computation & Technology (CCT) and Information Technology Services (ITS) that will:

Staff from the CCT and ITS HPC units have come together as one team, providing a single point of administrative control and support for all central HPC resources on campus. We work closely with the Cyberinfrastructure Development (CyD) group at CCT to provide both a high level of support and cutting edge tools and resources to the research community.

HPC @ LSU provides system administration and consultation support for the Louisiana Optical Network Initiative (LONI) supercomputers. LONI has contributed one half of its centerpiece supercomputer, Queen Bee’s, computational cycles to the TeraGrid community as LONI joins TeraGrid. HPC @ LSU is in turn getting a prestigious grant from the National Science Foundation to hire staff providing system administration and consultation support to TeraGrid users using Queen Bee.

HPC and CyD Staff

The HPC and CyD staff are paid by CCT, ITS, LONI, and TeraGrid.
